Bill Moyers, A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing

He talks softly and gently smiles. He persuades Eve that the fruit is surely tasty. And he has become a millionaire doing it (Discover The Network).

Bill Moyers recently interviewed the head of the Federal Communications Commission, Michael Copps. Here is the link about the interview. And here is a brief clip of it at You Tube. Copps and the federal government want to rescue you from those evil businessmen like AT & T who want to censor folks. The government wouldn't want to censor people, no not them! They are good and wise. They wouldn't do that (though that is what they have done most of my life). Government is virtuous and you never mind that it was the biggest killer of innocent human life last century.

Ignore all that.

Instead, worry that the mainstream media of yesterday is no longer what it once was and we need to protect it because they care for you more than AT&T. The left-wing magicians want you to focus on that. Don't focus on the most dangerous organization on earth: government.

The truth is that there has been a galactic shift in the media universe away from the old media and Lucifers like Bill Moyers to people like Rush Limbaugh and Fox News. This is real change, a thing an Obama supporter ought to admire. But it is change you ought not to believe in because it encourages freedom of speech and takes power from slime-buckets like Bill Moyers.

There has never been a more freer press in America during my lifetime as there is right now. That just won't do. NBC, ABC, CBS and the New York times don't have control over us anymore by manipulating the information we recieve. That won't do either. We get to freely choose what information we will consume. That is very bad according to the thinking of Copps, Moyers, and the totalitarians on the left.

Thom Hartman writes in tribute about the end of Moyer's current PBS program Bill Moyers Journal:

"Who but Bill Moyers could have… done television's most hard-hitting reporting on the Iran/Contra scandal; investigated the media's failure in Iraq; defined the human impact of economic inequality; examined the ability of corporations to manipulate the "'public mind'"?

That should read: who but the leftists and government should have the ability to manipulate the public mind. Such manipulation has been Moyers' stock and trade and he would like to see that the control of the media possessed by the left continue and that the government control of television should be extended to the internet.

What could be the harm?

Enter stage left: the feds.

When Moyers was speaking with Copps, he told a story about a woman he met at his local market. (Isn't that humble? Moyers is such a regular Joe shopping at the market. That must mean he is a good old soul and innocent of guile).

Moyers said the woman was worried about the corruption of the powerful rich. The implication was those on Wall Street, bankers, and people like that are so very very bad. Naturally, left-wing Marxists like Moyers making gazillions of dollars on TV manipulating gullible women must be good. Moyers tells us that she thanked Moyers for his efforts to expose the truth.

Such is the left-wing humility and delusion.

There seems to be an outbreak of it these days too. Marxist Democratic Party leader Harry Reid recently told a story about a grateful woman who thanked Reid (this time the humble event happened in church) for caring about her special needs child. Why did she think him? Did he write out a big fat check to the woman so she could take care of her child? Oh heck no. That would REALLY be helping the woman. What these partners in crime were referring to was government stealing other peoples' money and giving it to the woman and her child. That is the full-measure of left-wing service and compassion: stealing other peoples stuff and giving it to people who will vote to keep you in power.

Robin Hood had to be a Marxist. I'm convinced of it now.*

Moyers never told the woman in the market that he was a rich guy too. Or that he is very cozy with the billionaire George Soros. How's that for a humble servant of humanity out to stop the rich man from trampling the poor?

Honestly, who believes the bullcrap Moyers spews about himself? Clearly stupid women who approach him at the local market.

Rich people are evil mainly when they disagree with Bill Moyers and try to manipulate them like he does.

UPDATE 6-7-10: Yesterday, Glenn Beck (on his TV program) did a little clearing up my insinuations about Robin Hood. I apparently smeared him. Hood, that is. He wasn't a Marxist according to the things Beck said. Phew. That's good to know since I grew up admiring that Hood guy.

Apparently, Hood didn't just steal from the rich and give to the poor; he stole money BACK from the rich who originally stole it from the poor and gave it back to them.

Okay. That's kinda nice.
