Sandra Bullock, Charlie Rose, and Leftist Bigotry

Recently, Charlie Rose interviewed Sandra Bullock about her new movie The Blind Side. In it she portrays the real life story of Leigh Anne Touhy, a woman whose family takes in a troubled black youth.

In the interview Sandra reveals the bigotry leftists have about Christians (as well as the misconception they have about people who claim to be christian but are not). She doesn't do this knowingly, of course. It's an accident.

In the You Tube audio clip, Bullock says she went to school in the "Bible Belt". Oh. Well, then she surely must know what she is talking about!

Naturally, being morally superior to those awful born-agains, she was aware of the hypocrisy down there in that nasty belt. And, of course, because of this bodacious insight, she was thus surprised by Touhy's humanity. After all, Touhy is a white Christian from the south and you know how THEY are--wink, wink.

Mind you, Touhy's family was great before it took in a black youth. Oh yes indeedy. Sandra said so. But now Sandra has black friends too....ooops....I mean a Christian friend. And darn it if she doesn't have some affection for them....ah....her.

Since this discovery that white born-agains can be FIXED by adopting a troubled black youth, the Sandra Bullocks of the world have discovered that born-again Christians are people too!

Of course, in this case, just the RICH ones.

None of this has to do with the intellectual or moral failings of left-wingers, of course. It has only to do with white Christians not getting their point across unless they adopt black people or throw themselves off cliffs, or whatever else pleases the left.

Perhaps I'm being too tough on the leftists. It seems that one can be a born-again Christian and the left will love you if you are, say, a Baptist like Bill Clinton who waved his big bible at the cameras before he shuffled off to worship at the alter of chubby sexy interns.

Never mind that Christ wasn't a racist and they still murdered him. And never mind that those who hate born-agains might be the problem.

They can fix that problem by adopting troubled non-whites. The heathens say so.

Gee, how big of them.
